History

In 2002 a group of Christians in the Box area of Wiltshire got together once a month for prayer, teaching & sung worship.  Called, ‘Prayer & Praise’, this meeting was aimed at giving participants an opportunity to worship God more informally than was the practice in many established local churches.

July Filling Station

In March 2006 Prayer & Praise was re-launched under the name of ‘The Filling Station’. This was in direct response to a prophecy from God that the grouping should look outwards to the local area and offer itself as a resource to the wider Christian church. Our mission is exactly that, to provide a place where many can be ‘refreshed’ by the Spirit of God, receive helpful Biblical teaching and express themselves in high quality sung worship. All done in an informal friendly atmosphere.

In 2007 Rev Nicky Gumbel attended a Filling Station meeting in Box and the evening events thereafter became more widely known.  Since March 2008 there have been two meetings a month in Box rather than just one.  This is our current pattern.
